Cranberry Crew

When three eager women headed off to the eleventh annual Glass Craft and Bead Expo in Las Vegas in March, 2005, we thought it was the culmination of our glass addict dreams. Little did we know that it was just the beginning of bigger and better things.

Four months later, in a very different atmosphere gathered around a campfire, our musings took flight and the seeds of Cranberry Stained Glass were sewn.

Now the talented staff at Cranberry Stained Glass consists of an enthusiastic group of artisans with almost sixty years experience of working with art glass.

Our fearless leader is President, Lori Nason. Lori has been a serious student of stained glass since 1998, having mastered many of the traditional methods for construction of stained glass. She is forever interested in what is current and new in the industry in terms of product and techniques and has traveled all over North America seeking out workshops and studios of other glass artisans. She has been commissioned by many designers and home owners to design, build and install major glass installations, which were constructed in her home studio. Additionally she has held several successful shows for the presentation and sale of her decorative design creations.

Complimenting Lori's skills is Vice President, Penny Bedal. Penny has had a passion for stained glass since she took her first introductory course in 1992. Since then she has taken numerous classes and workshops to increase her skills in both cold and warm glass techniques. In 1997 she began sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with others as she has developed and taught a variety of glass classes to students of all ages. As well as teaching, Penny enjoys the challenge of designing and constructing projects in the workplace and in her home studio. She has worked in sales at stained glass stores and has organized artists' studio tours in Ontario and Nova Scotia. Penny's other loves include her family, singing, travel and reading.

Sue Wilcox's love for the art began 25 years ago as a part-time hobby in her home studio. She has constructed lamps and light fixtures, stained glass panels, detailed sun catchers, stepping stones and pet memorials. Sue particularly likes to create pet portraits that capture the personality and the physical characteristics of specific dog breeds. She has initiated her own sales through dog shows, specialty gift shops and on e-Bay. She is currently increasing her repertoire to include precious metal clays, fusing dichroic jewellery, vertical mosaicing and, photo resist for sandblasting. Sue has recently retired after 26 years in the information technology industry. Her experience with computers and programming serves as a major benefit to Cranberry Stained Glass.
