Originally from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Joan has always had a keen interest in fine arts, painting in various media and especially in watercolours. Robert Percival, Ray Butler, and Janet Reed have inspired Joan’s artistic expression of her deep feelings for the Maritimes.
Joan’s paintings have been accepted in numerous juried exhibits and have found homes around the world including: Great Britain, Russia, the United States and, here in Canada. She intends to continue painting wherever and whenever that magic subject presents itself.
